All the staff is friendly and professional. This place is quiet and clean. I love the space in my apartment and the rent is very reasonable. Mariya and Kristen are the best...they take care of any problems in a timely manner and they care about the residents.

I have lived at Carriage Hill East for about 2.5 years now and it is a great setup: Central air, fiber internet, covered parking, on-site pool, newly renovated clubhouse. Some of the units are a little older but there are options for renovated ones as well. The location might be a pro or con depending on how close you want to be to campus, but it is definitely a pro for me. 90% of maintenance requests I've submitted have been done within 24 hours. The office staff have also been incredibly helpful during my transfer to another community. I wanted all the amenities provided at Carriage Hill East, and the manager at the office was extremely professional and went above and beyond to make sure my needs were met.

With the occasional mix-up, human error, and miscommunication that we all have come to understand as part of the natural human experience, Carriage Hills East is a great place to live. I want to take the time to thank Mr. Smith (Karry Smith) at Carriage Hill East. My family and I are new(ish) lessee's at Carriage Hill East, and overall the total package has been pretty nice. Tonight we ran into an issue where we called the after hours staff. Mr. Smith returned our phone call, showed up at our place (mind you this was late at night), courtesy listened to us and tried to help us in our immediate need. When that wasn't successful he called back later and went out his way to make sure that our issue was resolved. The level of sheer common courtesy and respect he showed us is something you don't see often these days. -Deepest thanks from a new neighbor

I just extended for another two years! It is in a great location that is not far from anything. The townhouse has a great backyard for any fellow dog lovers. They are very quick to make sure things are taken care of and really treat residents like part of their family!

The pros: 1. It’s located in a fantastic area: only 5-10 minutes away from the MSU Campus. Everything you could possibly need is located just a short drive away! There is a Meijer down the road and a great mall with tasty places to eat like Mitchell’s Seafood and Bravo. There’s also a 24 hour gym less than five minutes away. 2. The neighbors are quiet and courteous. All of the people I’ve met thus far are young professionals/ grad students so it’s perfect if you want to get work done. 3. Speaking of quiet, the apartment is virtually soundproof. I’ve lived in expensive apartments in Southeast MI and MA and I could hear people talking AT CONVERSATION LEVEL. This apartment, however, is perfect; I haven’t heard ONE word from my neighbors and I occasionally hear footsteps, but they’re light and normal. 4. The maintenance staff has been outstanding. They’re super friendly and prompt! Anything I’ve needed has been taken care of within hours (if not minutes) of bringing up the issue. 5. Can we talk about ancillaries? Everyone can walk through an apartment and see there is a kitchen, a bathroom, a couple bedrooms…but no one knows whether or not their appliances will work etc. My refrigerator is probably the best I’ve had and keeps my food at the perfect temperature (other apartments I’ve had were either too warm or froze my food), the sinks drain extremely well, the shower is the perfect pressure, the garbage disposal is awesome, the oven is GREAT and the stove heats up really fast and is fabulous for cooking! These sound like inane things to praise, but to anyone that’s lived in various apartments, it’s crucial. Everything in the apartment (even if some of it isn’t shiny and new) works great. 6. It’s energy efficient. These are the LOWEST utility bills I’ve ever paid. 7. Spartan Net. I’ve never heard of it before, but it’s AWESOME. It’s the seventh fastest internet in the nation! I could go on, but I'm out of room. Seriously love it here!
